One of the more stubborn races, humans are built to get right back up when knocked down. They never seem to have a set personality, and no two are alike. They come in a variety of natural skin colors, yet their hair and eyes seem to be the only thing that looks unnatural. Some humans are reported to have green hair, some with pure red hair, yet it is all natural. Of course, there are the people who dye their hair, but that is a different story. Humans seem to get killed more than cats when it comes to their curiosity. Some listen to their instincts and run when there is a gun shot, yet others run straight toward the location of the gun. Humans are born powerless; however, some have trained under powerful people to become witches, wizards, and mages. Some were 'blessed by the gods' with certain abilities, such as speaking to animals. Humans are the only creatures who cannot see dragons, unicorns, and the like while on the other side of the mirror. Their average lifespan is anywhere between eighty to one hundred years of age.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

You never want to be put up against one of these. Demons are cunning, quick, and down right evil. Of course, we are going by stereotypes. Demons come in many forms and types. The animal demons, such as cat demons, dog demons, and fox demons, have their animal form (which looks like very large version of whatever they are, yet they can have different colorings and even extra tails/horns--the Kyuubi for example) and their human form (they are good at keeping their ears/tails/horns/etc. from showing, though they sometimes slip and give it away of what they are). Then there are the demons like Lust, Gluttony, etc. They look human, but certain physical traits can make it easier to tell what they are. Many normal demons have large, bat-like wings, horns, and/or an arrow-tipped tail, but they can retract them at will. Some have pointed ears. While you can normally never trust a demon, there are some very reliable ones out there. Normally if you bribe them or whatever. There are also some that decide to work for the royal family--butlers, maids, and even guards. Those you can normally trust. Demons can control just about anything that isn't light, but what they can control depends on the kind of demon they are. Fox demons would control fire, Dragon demons would control either fire, ice, wind, or all three.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Angels Known for being holy, pure creatures, it is a surprise that the royal family isn't made up of angels. Angels are normally considered pure, good, etc. That really isn't the case. Angels have their own personalities, and some are even on the 'dark side'. Normal angels have pure white wings, and their wingspan depends on how old they are. Very few angels have more than one set of wings, the most being three pairs; however, the last set of six wings on an angel was last seen five centuries ago. All angels have a golden or silver halo, but only other angels can see them. Other than your average angel, there are also the Fallen Angels, ones who turn to the dark side. Their wings are black or red, and, on the rare occassion of a Fallen still having it, their halos are rusting and falling apart.
Normal angels can control light, wind, and earth. Fallen angels can control darkness, fire, and ice.

Werepeople There are many kinds of werepeople in the world; however, there are two main catagories for them: Werewolves and Werecats. The names pretty much say it all. However, these aren't your average werewolves and werecats. They don't turn into half-man-half-beasts who terrorize the villages. No, they fully turn into their forms. They can be any kind of wolf, domestic dog, domestic cat, or wild feline. There are even foxes, maned wolves, and and coyotes. The only difference is that they might have a slightly different color pelt and they are normally slightly larger than your average cat and dog. No, wait, scratch that. They aren't slightly larger, they are twice the size of their average animal.
Werepeople are generally born as what they are; however, humans are allowed to be turn into one of them. If a werewolf bites a human, that person is turned into a werewolf after a long, painful process. If a werecat scratches a human, that person becomes a werecat after a long, painful process. You get the point? Other than heightened senses, speed, and strength, along with being able to turn into their animal form, they really do not have any powers. Werepeople are sometimes kept as pets because they can actually change with or without the full moon, so they are sometimes mistook for normal animals... Even when they're normally twice the normal size of that animal...

Hybrids These are the result of a human breeding with one of the other species. Half-demons have miniature version of whatever physical traits their demon father/mother had, and they can use all of their powers. However, their powers are half as powerful as their father's/mother's was. If an animal demon breeds with a human, their offspring will have only the ears/tail(s)/horn(s) of their parent and will not have a demon animal form. Unlike for full demons, half-demons cannot retract their physical traits. Half-angels will look more like their angel parent; however, their wings will be forever small, not even large enough to fly with, and they will not have a halo. Half-angels have only the power to control light and nothing more.
Half-werepeople have everything their parent had; however, the only difference is that their animal form is the size of a normal animal. Also, they can only change forms during a half moon and a full moon. Fairies do not have hybrid offspring, for they are born from flowers instead of wombs.

Faeries, Pixies & Imps Faeries generally are the most human looking of the three and have the most potential (and inclination) to do good for people. Faeries are often portrayed in literature as "testing" humans to see their worthiness and then meting out either punishment or reward accordingly. Faeries are also the creatures most associated with stealing babies from their cradle and leaving "changelings" in their place, however, so donÂft go thinking too highly of them. Click for more information.
Pixies are said to delight in deliberately misleading people. People who get lost in the moors, for example, are said to be "pixie-lead" pixies might steal your wash off the line and leave it scattered all over your yard the next day, or hide your shoes at the top of a tree. Like imps, pixies are small and are often described as having pointed ears and/or eyes. Click for more information
Imps are generally mischievous and full of trickery. You may get something good from a fairy, but never from an imp. Imps are small and quick. Click for more information.
Of course, on this site, Faeries, Pixies, and Imps all look human. They just have insect wings and are actually really, really small. They do have the power to grow to the normal height of a human, but they cannot retract their wings. While they can be with humans, nothing can create a hybrid between the two. Our Faeries, Imps, and Pixies are born from buds on plants just because it makes things easier. They all also have the power to become invisible to the naked eye, and they all are able to use some spells and basic magic (faeries can use more spells and more higher magic).
