Once upon a time, there was a mirror. This mirror was unlike any other, for it had a twin. Said twin wasn't in this world, however, yet the pair were always connected. They were more like windows between worlds. Possession of the these mirrors led to countless wars between humans on one side and the angels and demons on the other. Blood was shed and many lost their lives. The wars seemed to get longer and longer, some not even ending for a day before it started up again.
When all hope of the final war coming to an end vanished, a savior appeared. Altum was quite the sight--a large, majestic, and powerful silver fox demon who had finally grown tired of all these idiotic wars. As one of the more powerful demons, the fox was quick to calm the war on Serelia's side. He left the Serelian mirror in the hands of his most trusted friend--a faerie named Twigs. Slipping through the Serelian mirror and into the human side of Serelia, the human war was quickly silenced. Though, that might have been because he manifested before the large armies. Seeing a huge silver fox with three tails appear before you could stun anyone. This also helped him talk sense in the leaders fighting over the Earth mirror.
Taking the Earth mirror, he tucked it away in a hidden shrine in Japan, creating a path to it for anyone who wished to see it. He did the same in Serelia, and the path became known as Altum's Path, and the shrines were called the Shrine of Altum. Under an agreement, no one was allowed to move the mirrors from their resting spots. He also casted a spell upon the mirrors to make it to where there had to be someone on the other side to go through with you. This would keep armies from just charging through.
Centuries passed. Slowly, humans were able to start populating Serelia. Many came from long ago because of the creatures in Serelia that you couldn't see on Earth. Originally, there were two kingdoms--one ruled by Angels and another ruled by Demons. However, those two kingdoms soon merged together and humans took their place as the new royal family. Another century passed under human rule. Everything seemed peaceful between each side; however, peace never lasts.
